Product Description
The Synology DiskStation DS1525+ is a robust 5-bay NAS powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, featuring hardware AES-NI encryption. It comes with 8GB DDR4 ECC SODIMM memory pre-installed, expandable up to 32GB, and supports both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA HDDs and SSDs. The system includes two M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots for cache acceleration or additional storage pools.
Networking consists of two 2.5GbE RJ-45 LAN ports with link aggregation and failover capabilities, while an optional 10GbE RJ-45 network upgrade module is supported for higher throughput. Expansion via up to two DX525 units allows scaling up to 15 drive bays and a maximum raw storage capacity beyond 240 TB. External connectivity includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two USB Type-C expansion ports.
Performance delivers up to 1181 MB/s sequential read and 1180 MB/s write speeds, making it suitable for demanding workloads. Supported RAID configurations include Synology Hybrid RAID, Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. The compact chassis measures 166 x 230 x 223 mm and weighs approximately 2.67 kg without drives.
Running Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), the DS1525+ offers comprehensive features for data management, backup, file sharing, virtualization, and surveillance.
