The monitor supports 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), displaying 4 times more information than standard Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), and 2 times more than WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). With 4K resolution, you can display more applications simultaneously on the 27-inch desktop that the monitor offers, reducing the need to scroll or frequently switch between different windows.

The 27-inch EV2740X monitor has a pixel density of 163 ppi, which is approximately 2 times that of a Full HD monitor of the same size. The high pixel density assures the professional that even the smallest text and icons are displayed with absolute clarity.

The monitor offers USB Type-C® connectivity that allows for video and audio playback, USB signal transfer, power supply to PCs connected to the monitor, and even network signal transfer. This convenient multi-purpose connectivity makes it faster and easier to connect to your laptop, especially when moving between different workstations or switching between in-person and remote work.

KVM switch.

It has never been easier to operate different PCs with a single mouse and keyboard. Thanks to the USB upstream ports, the EV2740X has an integrated KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch. The monitor automatically links the webcam, microphone, speakers, mouse and keyboard to the currently active source computer. This means, for example, that a desktop PC and laptop or business and private PC can each be operated on the same combination of monitor USB devices. This ensures uninterrupted working and a tidy workspace.

Power Your Laptop.

The 94-watt USB Type-C power supply charges laptops or small desktop PCs. Powering the monitor eliminates the need for a laptop power adapter, freeing up space in your bag and on your desk.

Stable Internet Connection.

Since many modern laptops are not equipped with a LAN port, the EV2740X monitor has a built-in port for a fixed wired connection. Connecting any laptop via USB Type-C allows access to the Internet via the monitor. This allows you to conduct online meetings or transfer data reliably and instantly.

The EIZO MAC Address Clone Utility software temporarily assigns the MAC address of a connected PC to the monitor, granting Internet access to authorized devices and preventing unauthorized access.

Connect Peripherals Directly to the Monitor.

As many modern laptops are designed to be slimmer and more portable, they often have limited connectivity options for peripherals. Connecting a laptop to the monitor via USB Type-C enables the monitor’s 3 USB Type-A ports and 1 USB Type-C port for easy connection of a keyboard, mouse, and webcam.

Auto Brightness Control.

To prevent eye strain, EIZO’s “Auto EcoView” brightness sensor detects changes in ambient light throughout the day, and automatically adjusts the monitor to the ideal brightness level.

Clear Viewing at an Angle.

The model uses an LED-backlit IPS (in-plane switching) LCD panel with a 178° viewing angle that minimizes color and contrast ratio variations when the screen is viewed at an angle. Therefore, two or more users can simultaneously view the screen with optimal image quality.

Blue Light Reduction up to 80%.

The printing of work-related files tends to decrease continuously, due to the increase in teleworking, but also to stricter information and data security measures. The Paper Mode setting reduces the so-called “blue light” emitted by the screen, simulating its colors with those of a printed sheet of paper and thus preventing eye fatigue when reading or writing electronic texts. When Paper Mode is used in conjunction with Auto EcoView dimming, blue light is reduced by up to 80%.

Flicker-Free Viewing.

Due to the way the brightness of the LED backlight is controlled, a small number of users experience a “flickering” effect on their screen, which can cause eye strain. The EV2740X uses a hybrid solution to adjust brightness and make flickering imperceptible, without any degradation or variation in color stability – even when the screen brightness is set to very low levels.

Minimum Brightness at 1 cd/m2.

In a low-light environment, a monitor with low-brightness settings is more comfortable and relaxing to use. With its LED backlight, the monitor can be adjusted to a brightness of up to 1cd/m2, which translates to less than 1% of its maximum brightness.

Minimized Reflections.

The panel is equipped with an anti-glare coating, which eliminates reflections of ambient light. This makes viewing the screen relaxing and reduces eye fatigue.

Five-Year Factory Warranty.

The Manufacturer's Five-Year Factory Warranty covers all components of the monitor, including the LCD panel*, to ensure long-term technical support. This warranty is 2 years longer (67%) than the typical 3-year warranty of most brands on the market. The Five-Year Warranty reduces the final cost of ownership for the user, due to the excellent quality and therefore the rare need for repair of EIZO monitors.

*In cases of continuous operation of the monitor, the panel warranty is set at 30,000 hours.
