In September 2023, Apple updated the second-generation AirPods Pro with improved IP54 dust resistance, support for lossless audio with the Apple Vision Pro (supported through a new 5 GHz radio), and a charging case with a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port. In all other respects, the new AirPods Pro 2nd gen (USB-C) are the same as the AirPods Pro 2nd gen (Lightning).
